Neil Patrick Harris, hosting the 61st Annual Emmy Awards

Now that I’ve finally watched the last hour of the 61st Annual Emmy Awards, I can confidently say that this year’s broadcast was one of the best in recent history. And here are my favorite aspects of the big show:

Christina Hendricks (background) and Jon Hamm (foreground) of "Mad Men," after having been hit on by Neil Patrick Harris

Kristin Chenoweth accepts her trophy

Jimmy Fallon tries out his Auto-Tune skills

Sarah Silverman, a solemn nominee

Dan, I didn’t even know you had a blog! David just sent me the URL. This is so beautiful & professional looking! Do you have a list of the 44 shows that you follow? I’m looking for something new to watch and a list would be awesome. Do you like Damages (I guess I should read the blog…). I just watched the first episode and think it could be good! Oh, and if you haven’t seen True Blood… do it!!!

Okay, really, this is the last time I’ll comment tonight.

    Have you seen:
    1) Carnivale (HBO) — one of David’s and my all-time favorite shows
    2) Prison Break (the first season is okay, but it gets really good…and then not so good! But totally worth it.)
3)The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency (HBO)
    4) You must have seen Arrested Development?

    love, emily!
