Now in its third season, ABC's sexy spy drama Alias chronicles the life of Sydney Bristow. As a grad student, she began work at SD-6, a covert "black-ops" division of the CIA. Or so she thought. After her boss tried to have her killed, she found out that SD-6 has no affiliation with the CIA, and she had been working for the enemy she thought she was fighting. She becomes a double agent for the CIA and vows revenge on SD-6, by any means necessary.

Unfortunately, one of the main cast members of Alias, Victor Garber, was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 12. Diabetes is a disease which attacks every organ system in the human body. 16 million people in the U.S. alone have the disease. Worldwide, it affects 120 million people as of now, and is projected to affect 300 million people by 2025. A new case of diabetes is diagnosed ever 40 seconds. Every three minutes, a person dies from the disease. Insulin is not a cure... research is.

Please help us fight diabetes by participating in The "Alias Marathon Against Diabetes," which takes place at the Radisson Riverwalk Hotel, 200 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa, FL. It will be on May 22, from 10 am - 8 pm.
